I was in San Jose last weekend, apartment hunting — stories to follow in a few days, I promise — and guess what's around the corner from my soon-to-be new home?

An HRC fan, eh? Have you checked out Blogography? He has a whole site dedicated to his quest to visit every HRC in the world.

I'm totally taken with the Märzen myself. Emily, where is the other one? Of the three you mentioned in the area?

There's the one in PA (640 Emerson) and one in SF (2 Harrison St). You'll be refering to SF as 'the city' within about 2 weeks of moving here . . . it's kinda frightening.
We've discovered a decent number of pretty tasty restaurants in the area, mostly in Mountain View (about 15-20 minutes from the SJ GB). Perhaps more importantly, we've discovered some *awesome* wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains--a lot closer, cheaper and less pretencious than Napa and Sonoma. I can give you the short list of both at some point if you're interested . . .
Oh and here I thought that there was going to be a new Hard Rock Cafe for me to visit...
