I wa-wa-wa-wa-wonder
Why-eye-eye-eye-eye
a person who had been wrongfully accused of murder; a person who maintained their innocence throughout their trial and for more than ten years after it; a person who was found to be not guilty of murder by at least one jury; a person who is innocent...
would ever agree to write a book titled If I Did It.
Don't you, Gentle Reader?
And that's all I have to say about the incident which first shattered, then restored, my faith in America and, with it, my desire to go on living here. I now turn my writing attention to preparing the final (for now, at least) story in the Neil Gaiman saga, last mentioned here. Ummm. I thought we had all agreed that even if the jury found him "not guilty" that we had all agreed upon his guilt. Well at least that was the case with my coworkers and myself when the verdict came down. The verdict? All it proved is that money talks, in my opinion.
Sass-
My guess is that anyone who were truly innocent of such a crime would never have authored a book discussing how they would have committed the crime in question. In spite of his acquittal, I don't for a second, believe that OJS was ever innocent regarding the deaths of NBS and her friend. Unfortunately, in this country, celebrity often outranks the actual facts in a case.
Of course he did it. And bless you, Sass, but sometimes, even America gets it right.
I love the use of the term "saga" in reference to Neil. :)
P.S. Here's me still with my jealous face on too. :P
