I've got my hash pipe

Shut up, I know what you're thinking. Writing? Well, she hasn't been doing much of that lately, has she?
Actually, she has. Just not here. Sorry.
I've been writing a screenplay. The first draft is finished, now, so I'll be able to get back to you on a more regular basis.
Today, in honour of my late grandfather's birthday (he would have been 93) and the completion of my first draft, I wanted to cook dinner, but, having no idea how to do that, I watched Rachael Ray's thirty minute meals show at 6:00, and decided that whatever she made, I'd make. (I've seen the show a couple of times, and she's no Emeril. I figured I could manage a Rachael.)
Tonight, she made ground sausage hash, topped with grated sharp cheddar cheese, then topped with a fried egg and garnished with salsa. Yes, I even made the salsa. With yellow tomatoes, just like Rachael.
Tomorrow I'm guest blogging at To Whom It May Concern. I've written a letter called "Dear California," to mark the occasion of my one year anniversary of living here. It's not a love letter, sorry to say.

Wow....I'm actually drooling just looking at that picture of your supper....I think I'm going to have to get the recipe online.
The first layer is 1/2 pound of ground sausage, fried with a chopped red onion and one sliced potato. (Rachael used a sweet potato; I used a Yukon Gold.) Season with cumin, coriander, chili powder, salt and pepper.
Spread it out in a baking dish, then sprinkle with grated cheese. (Rachael used a sharp Spanish cheese whose name started with M, that I couldn't find. She said sharp cheddar would do as a substitute, so I used that.) Cover with foil so the heat from the hash melts the cheese.
Fry an egg, or two or three, and place those on top of the cheese, then top with salsa.
Salsa: chop one yellow tomato, one small jalapeno pepper, red onion, cilantro; season with lime juice and salt.
Yum. Only I don't eat sausage. But I'm sure it could be done with just potatoes instead.
Congrats on finishing your screenplay.
What I like best about Rachael Ray is the way she gives options for everything as she's putting it together. If you don't like sausage, use ground beef, or chicken. If you don't eat meat, use... more potatoes!
